Thanks for the review, but speed is a very subjective term and must be compared other yaks in its class. In order to be really objective, GPS speed measurement would be desireable so its relative speed can be compared to other yaks. mrsinbad NYS Licensed Driver #123456

I took it out Saturday, paddling with some buddies in T120's. I was a good sport and let them catch up. I had the GPS with me, and paddling at a moderate pace (not trying for a personal best) I had no problems maintaining 3.1 to 3.5 mph. Once I got back to the launch on of my buddies wanted to give it a spin. He admitted that it wouldn't be his #1 boat because like me, he's a SOT guy and likes to wade as well. But his first comment was "this little thing hauls a$$ ...". Being so light and short it takes very little energy to get it moving, and the hull design is quick. If someone is in the market for a boat of this type, I encourage them to go try all there is out there, and make their choice based on their own experience.

Hey pagyaker, it looks like the hull is similar to the emotion, which I find a lot of fun to paddle in lakes and ponds. Is this a sit in version of that hull? If so this would fill the niche of keeping your legs dry while paddling in cooler water periods, like spring ice out and late fall, yet still get the same paddling thrill as the emotion.

pag_yaker, have you had a chance to test the Edge in class 1 & class 11 rapids yet? I am very interested in this yak, my closest dealer has them or order but doesn't know when they will get to her store. I like the short yak the good review from you.
