Anyone have Yakima hully rollers? My friend owns a Kaskazi Dorado which is fiberglass and doesnt want to scratch it up. He also doesnt want to damge it tightening down the strap and the rollers not supporting the hull. Any feedback or pictures would be greatly appreciated. I built a rack for his truck but he is alittle guy and needs something easier than lifting it onto his foam pads up top.

I have the hully rollers and have experienced two problems.

If you tie my yak down too tight the rollers do deform the bottom of the yak (solution, don't tie down quite so tight).

My other problem is that when pushing the yak on the rollers my yakima crossbar rotates in the Q-towers. Appears the "wedges" in the towers aren't holding any more, no matter how hard I retighten with an allen wrench. As I have a Ford Windstar Van and am also short this makes loading the yak very frustrating. I'm thinking about drilling through the tower and bar and installing a screw to stop the rotation problem. However, the bar is galvanized steel so I don't know how difficult that will be.

Probably more than you wanted but hope it helps.
