I finally got to take out the Marauder today. I deliberately wore my brothers size 13 boots. They fit in the stirrups, snuggly but they fit. The kayak performs nicely. It's extremely stable but not a barge. I was able to hit 6 mph but its real top end for me was in the upper 5s. Cruizing speed was 3.5 to 4.5 mph. The storage is comparable to the FnD, which means there's tons of it. The kayak was fairly easy to load considering its mass because the side handles were very easy to use. So if you're looking for a kayak with tons of storage and stability add the Marauder to the kayaks to consider.

Too many places to fish and not enough time, but I'm trying.

Man I want one of these (I think)
This boat has the storage layout that I crave, how do you think it'll stack up in the rough compared to an OC prowler?

Ahhh, a fish!! I shall take it home, scoop out it's swim bladder and make it into a hat!

The Prowlers are the best rough water kayaks that we sell. The Marauder will do fine but it isn't a Prowler, but neither is a Tarpon, etc. The Marauder will be fine in all but the meanest stuff and that's when you don't want to be out there anyway.
