Hey all,

Been browsing this site for a while, lots of great info on species I had never heard of!

Couple of questions I was hoping someone here could help me with.

First: Do I need a seperate account to this one to log into the KFS online shop? Im having some trouble creating one or logging on using the details I used for this forum. I cant get past the page where you enter your address, email, username ect. when I hit save it just seems to refresh the page?

Once I get that sorted out my next question is about shipping to Australia, I also cant get the shipping calculator to work and was wondering if anyone had personal experiance or could have a play with it and get me a price.

The bit of gear im after is the Kokatat Supernova paddle suit in medium., if that helps with any info reguarding shipping/customs ect...

This will be my first time buying from the U.S so any help would be great, anything to help it go smoothly!

Cheers
Baldy

welcome_sign Baldy,

If you click on "Products" at the top of this page you can shop from there. At the left side of that page you see everything KFS has to offer in different categories. Once you find something click on your cart and you'll be guided through as to what your shipping costs will be. Good luck. thumbsup

Gday mate,

Thanks for the reply, I gave it a shot and am still having problems with the shipping part.
It gives me this message...

"
No valid shipping methods are available for your order. You will be contacted regarding shipping when your order is processed."

Once I get this part sorted I will know how much I need to transfer to the visa card[its not a debit account] I just have no idea the sort of cost to ship overseas...$50...$200....i have no idea!

Cheers

welcome_sign Baldy,

I hate to say this but I hope I'm wrong, KFS will not ship overseas. Give them a call or drop an e-mail to them.

Gday ORF,

Ahh thats a bugger if its true! Allthough I did get a reply on an aussie yak forum from a guy who said he had got stuff from kfs before. Not sure how long ago or what exactly it was though.

I had allready sent an email to the team but got impatient as usual, been saving for a while and tomorrow is D-day, so was looking to place the order then.

I'll wait until I hear back from the team, it was worth signing up on the forum anyway...been meaning to for a while...

Cheers

I hope you're wrong too. That's a helluva drive from Tasmania to New Jersey and back. WOW!

Hiya Baldy,
KFS will ship overseas (except kayaks) but you will have to email them to get the shipping costs. I'm sure it's all explained in their buying/shipping guide somewhere on the site.

Thanks Dogfish,

The guys from the KFS shop got back to me via email and sorted the problem out.

It turns out though I changed my mind about the paddlesuit and went with a jacket and pants combo from a local kayaking specialist, so I could try it on ect...3yr warranty being local brought. The price ended up around the same[approx$500au] but I think the top and bottom combo is more versatile and suits my needs better.

Got them just in time too, starting to cool off down here, its fairly mild temerate climate compared to some of the freezing temps you lot get over there but its cold enough to turn your bits blue!!! Havnt done an immersion test yet, will need a warm day or a pool for that one I think.I dont expect them to keep me completly dry if I was in the water for hours[I would be in trouble no matter what I had on in that case] But they will keep me dry in the event of a quick dip in and out, a good compromise between safety and comfort I think.

Thanks again for the help

Cheers
Baldy
