I have posted this message on the sailing forum as well.

Recently I saw a kayaker in Sydney Harbor (as in Australia) sailing using a small jib styled sail. He had a short mast (PVC ?), less than 5'long, secured to what looked like a rod holder. The jibsheet he was managing with his bare hands. The guy was obviously experienced with this rig and was really covering a lot of water. Has anyone else seen a set up like this ?
