C'mon man, Esox, some of the canadian folk, has to be someone with some monster muskie pics, a while back there was a video on here with muskies being caught.

I flyfish for northerns here but have no pics of bigguns yet, just little snots like this:

They can have my fly rod when they pry it from my cold dead hands!

My yak biggest is a 47". The photo was taken by another boat who watched the fight and landing. They thought I was insane. The photo went into the cyber black hole after a hard drive crash Mad. I just got an article from Jon S on his setup and that will be the project soon. As for landing I use lip gripper and a wet towel to cover the eyes, 11" needle nose and a jaw spreader is in the cockpit hatch in case it is needed. Stay tuned there will be more Big Grin

I'll ask, what the hell is a musky?
Do you eat them?
Any good,if you eat them?
How big do they get?
I'm too lazy to GOOGLE. Cool

Are musky/pike good to eat, or no?

When you tie on your lure, bait, or fly, pause for a moment and ask yourself; Would I eat that?

yes there good to eat both musky and pike.

but for the musky in the ottawa river here where they are mosly..they have to be 54 inch and longer to keep...so its as to be pretty big to keep it..

at least for ottawa river.

but mosly catch and keep

guy like me part(or was) off muskiescanada..dont keep them.

Most fanatical musky guys would rather eat their own young than a musky. Not because they taste bad, but they believe they should all be put back. If it's a legal size and you want to eat it, go ahead. You'll enjoy it. Just don't tell anyone.

Fishyak, that's the same way some folks treat permit down here. I once caught a big permit that I wanted to bring home and eat, but when the holier-than-thou fishing guides saw it laying on the deck of my boat, they treated me like I'd crapped on their grandmother's grave! surrender hammer What a bunch of hypocrites!
