Lets say you layed a small piece of tubing below the seat to a venturi, or even just a very small slanted aft scupper hole and stuck one of these babies in there to prevent reverse flooding:

Would a small suction action be enough to drain the seat area?

A $2 cost with the tubing, maybe $3 plus some time.

I left off :

The seat would still have to be at or higher than the water line,....... unless the suction of the venturi was higher than than the water pressure due to the seat being below it.

I've long forgotten the equations (bernoulli?) to calculate the presure reduction the laminar flow might generate. Anyone?
